The art of building trust and community
Culture Forms provides creative facilitation that helps organizations and individuals align their actions with values.
Learn how to navigate cycles of change and uncertainty by envisioning new ways to deepen curiosity and connection.
Whether in groups or working on your own, engaging the imagination requires and fosters trust.
My practice is built on the premise that creativity can be useful in various contexts: to forge greater trust and senses of community; to improve the everyday experiences of a workplace; and to help individuals form the lives they want to live as life changes.
Culture Forms began in 2017 by shaping cultures in classrooms and at nonprofits and by studying and teaching poetry. Through these juxtaposing roles, I learned how a trusting community is the necessary precondition for the work any organization has to do.
In addition to my proven methods, I combine elements of evidence-based practices, such as restorative justice circles, Motivational Interviewing and mediation techniques, as well as Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process.
Offerings
-
For Organizations
Over a number of months, I lead simple, impactful workshops and gatherings that meet a team’s current needs and point you toward becoming the most successful group you can be. Along the way, I’ll teach you how to continue this work on your own.
Together, we will craft an environment of trusting relationships where people can navigate uncertainty and learn without fear of making mistakes.
-
For Individuals
Occasionally I work with individuals (1:1 and in small groups) at all points in their lives and careers to hone creative, reflective, and/or facilitation practices. Through purposeful offerings, we’ll explore creativity, time, and the making and sustaining of community.
